About Extinvo
Extinvo is built and run by Ellul Solutions Ltd, a software company registered in England and Wales. It is a small product with one job, not a platform: the fire devices in a building, and the record of them being checked. The free worksheets and the paid plan are made by the same people, and the worksheets are not a trial of the paid plan.
Why this site exists
Because the check itself takes a minute and proving it happened takes the rest of the year. A technician walks a floor, turns a key, watches a light, writes it on a sheet and drives to the next site, and six months later an insurer, a building owner or a fire marshal asks what was found in November. In most small outfits the honest answer is that the sheet is in a van, or in a folder, or gone. Extinvo exists so the answer is a device, a date, a technician and a finding, and so a company can see what a year of that checking actually costs it before deciding how many sites one person can carry.
Who it is for
It is for the person in the United States who is responsible for a building's fire equipment and has to prove it was checked: the independent fire-protection contractor servicing extinguishers, emergency lights and alarm panels across a round of client sites, the two or three technician fire and life-safety company working out of a van, and the facilities or life-safety manager keeping the same schedule in-house.
It is not for the workplace safety officer running ladder, forklift, harness or confined-space inspections, the EHS manager keeping chemical and near-miss records, the vehicle or fleet inspector, the home or property inspector, or the food-safety officer. Each of those is a different job and other software is written for it.
What it does not do
- It publishes no fire code and no rule text. What a device needs, and how often, is decided by the standard your authority having jurisdiction enforces; where this site names a frequency or a duration it cites the public document it read it in and nothing more.
- It gives no verdict on a device. Nothing here says whether a particular extinguisher, light or panel passes; that is the licensed technician's judgement in front of it.
- It ranks no vendor and sells no equipment. There is no listing here anyone paid to appear in, and we do not take a commission on anything you buy.
- It never puts the free worksheet's answer behind a login, and it never emails a building owner of yours without their own consent.
What is on this site

What Extinvo Pro keeps
The worksheet tells you what a year of testing costs. It cannot tell you, in March, which fitting was missed in November. Pro keeps the devices themselves.
